Why a nurse practitioner
- Advanced clinical judgement
- Nurse practitioners are registered nurses with a master’s degree and endorsement to practise at an advanced level. They assess, order tests, prescribe and refer within their scope.
- Reports that hold up at plan review
- Assessments and health care plans that link each support to the disability, which is what planners look for.
- Care beyond the NDIS
- Health needs the NDIS doesn’t fund, like a new illness or routine scripts, can be seen by our nurse practitioner through Medicare, kept separate from the NDIS plan.
